At one time- the "American Creed" consisted of (1) the Declaration of Independence, (2) the Constitution, and (3) The Gettysburg Address. I am not quite sure how we got away from it. All three of which are rooted in natural law- which is quite different conception of the basis of rights than currently being promoted.
Good comments. We 21st century Americans, conditioned by a century of reading content in Hearst-Pyramid with the most important paragraph first, think the famous introduction of the Declaration is a statement of its gist and purpose. It's not.
Happy Independence Day!
This is indeed a special episode.
Thank you.

Sounds like Truth, Justice and the American Way.
Happy Fourth of July Preppy and Zoomie! 💥
May you have a great 4th!
