Congrats Cecil. I use the term "Free agent." Open to all kinds of opportunities, but on my terms.

Oh that is a funny and new one…perhaps something like “post career transition phase” is better…

I do not know when we started listening to the professionally offended, but we need to stop. Anyone who uses the term "priviledged" can safely be ignored. I would add "white supremacy" and "heteronormative" to the list. Ideally we would removed them from any institutions of learning so we do not waste another generation becoming weak, hysterical losers who have an infinite list of those to blame for their failures and a blank list of their desired responsibilities, the very thing they must have in order to have a decent life.

Perhaps Trump should set up a new program where for every immigrant we take, the sending country must take one of our social justice warriors. So many of them claim to love revolutionary Venezuela. Why not let them experience the revolution first hand?

I agree with your sentiment. People just throw out these terms they deem offensive with no thought behind it. It offends me they operate with no brain.

I read your article and that individual is what I call a “keyboard Coward”. Those types are the root cause of our social unrest in this Country. Who and the hell cares if you are unemployed or retired. Folks need to get a life. Congrats buddy.

I'm US Navy "retired," but doing more work than many going to an employer every day. My husband and I take care of my elderly mother, have an 11-yr-old foster and run a small sheep farm. In my "free time" I also work on about 3/4 mile of private road that we spent the past 15 months and some many dollars on improving. We turned a barely one-car wide, eroded sand trail, a trail that turned into white water rapids in a hard rain, into a 20ft wide hardpack with rolling dips, water runoff ditches and no flooding. I'm working, but I get to work on the project improvements I choose.

Wow. You really are still employed. How's the pay? Just kidding. I hope to become busy, just like you, doing the things I want to do.

What a great photo! You look happy. Congratulations on your newest milestone!

(And you handled that troll very well. I’m cool with people disagreeing with me, but you start name-calling and you get blocked.)
